Leucine-rich repeat-containing protein 75B (LRRC75B) is part of the leucine-rich repeat-containing (LRRC) protein family, characterized by multiple LRR motifs that provide a structural framework for protein-protein interactions. The specific biological function of LRRC75B is not fully characterized, but experimental studies in murine muscle cells indicate that it acts as a negative regulator of myogenic differentiation, suppressing the expression of differentiation markers such as myogenin and modulating the phosphorylation state of Erk1/2 (extracellular signal-regulated kinases). Downregulation of LRRC75B promotes muscle cell differentiation, while its overexpression inhibits the process, suggesting a role in early muscle development and cellular differentiation pathways. There is currently no evidence directly linking LRRC75B to specific pathologies, nor are there any drugs targeting this protein or described mechanisms of drug action.
