Leukemia NUP98 fusion partner 1 (LNP1) is a human protein-coding gene identified primarily as a rare fusion partner of NUP98 in chromosomal rearrangements found in certain aggressive leukemias[2][3][4]. The resulting NUP98::LNP1 fusion protein has only been reported in isolated leukemia cases (notably, one ETP-ALL patient and an AML patient)[2]. LNP1 itself does not possess well-characterized molecular or cellular functions outside its role as a fusion partner. There are no established drugs or therapies targeting the LNP1 protein or the NUP98::LNP1 fusion; however, its presence can be used molecularly to identify the specific disease subtype for diagnostic or residual disease monitoring purposes[2][3].
