Leukemic B-cells refer broadly to any neoplastic population derived from the malignant transformation of human precursor/mature B lymphocytes. They play a central role in several major forms of hematologic malignancy through mechanisms involving dysregulated growth signals and evasion from programmed cell death pathways. These cells are characterized by uncontrolled proliferation, impaired differentiation, and resistance to apoptosis, leading to the development of leukemias such as CLL, ALL, and B-PLL.
