Overview

Leukocyte tyrosine kinase receptor (LTK, formerly and rarely called TYK1) is a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase in the ALK/LTK family. It transduces extracellular signals into intracellular responses, regulating growth, neurite outgrowth, and survival, and participates in MAPK pathway activation. LTK is closely related to the insulin receptor family, is primarily expressed on the cell membrane, and is implicated in both normal development and various disease processes, including cancer. Its pharmacological targeting is under exploration, with fostamatinib identified as an inhibitor, though its definitive function and ligand remain only partially characterized[1][4][7][9].
