Target intelligence / Profile preview
Leukotriene B4 (LTB4) is a potent pro-inflammatory lipid mediator derived from arachidonic acid. It is synthesized primarily in myeloid cells, such as neutrophils, monocytes, and eosinophils, through the 5-lipoxygenase pathway. LTB4 plays a central role in inflammation by recruiting and activating various immune cells and promoting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
N/A - LTB4 itself is not a drug target, but rather a molecule targeted by drugs.
