Target intelligence / Profile preview
Leukotriene B4 receptor 2 (BLT2) is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds leukotriene B4 (LTB4) with lower affinity than BLT1, but also binds other eicosanoids like 12-HHT with higher affinity. It is ubiquitously expressed and mediates chemotaxis/migration regulation for granulocytes/macrophages and modulates inflammation. It is a potential therapeutic target for anti-inflammatory drug development and potentially modulating cancer progression pathways.
