LFv2IRE is a synthetic fusion protein construct used in experimental research to study insulin receptor signaling pathways. This engineered protein responds to the chemical inducer AP20187, which triggers dimerization and subsequent activation of the construct. When activated by AP20187, LFv2IRE produces insulin-like biological effects, including induction of glycogen synthase activity and stimulation of cellular proliferation.
