Lines homolog 1 is a protein encoded by the LINS1 gene in humans and is homologous to the Drosophila "lines" gene, which plays a role in embryonic developmental signaling. In humans, LINS1 is implicated in modulation of the Wnt signaling pathway, a key regulator of cell development and differentiation[3][4][5][6]. Its precise molecular function is not well characterized and there is no evidence that it functions as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or ion channel, nor is it a validated therapeutic target. There are no well-established diseases, drugs, or biomarkers currently associated with this protein.
