Target intelligence / Profile preview
Lipase maturation factor 2 is a membrane-bound protein essential for the maturation of specific enzymes, notably lipases, within the endoplasmic reticulum. It assists in the proper folding and transport of lipoprotein lipase and may play roles in lipoprotein assembly, lipid metabolism, and certain disease processes. LMF2 is related structurally and functionally to lipase maturation factor 1 and may be implicated in cholesterol-related and neurodegenerative disorders.
