Target intelligence / Profile preview
Lipid raft-associated phospholipid ethers are a class of ether lipids that play key structural and functional roles in the formation and maintenance of lipid rafts—specialized, dynamic microdomains within cellular membranes. These ether lipids are characterized by an alkyl chain attached to the *sn-1* position of the glycerol backbone via an ether bond. They are involved in membrane trafficking, cell signaling, differentiation, and act as antioxidants. Altered levels are linked to neurodegenerative diseases, certain cancers, and metabolic disorders.
