Target intelligence / Profile preview
Lipocalin 1 pseudogene 2 (LCN1P2) is a human pseudogene related in sequence to the functional lipocalin 1 (LCN1) gene. Unlike LCN1, which encodes an extracellular protein involved in binding and transporting hydrophobic molecules, LCN1P2 is classified as a pseudogene and does not produce a functional protein product[1][3]. As such, it does not have known biological activity, molecular function, disease associations, or roles as a therapeutic target.
