Overview

LMO7 downstream neighbor protein (LMO7DN), also known as C13orf45, is an uncharacterized or poorly characterized human protein with sequence entry F2Z398 in UniProt[3]. It is distinguished from the LMO7 protein itself, which is a multifunctional protein involved in cell adhesion, migration, nuclear signaling, and implicated in cancer biology, but there is no clear evidence that LMO7DN shares these attributes[1][2]. LMO7DN is not reported as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor. No known biological functions, signaling pathways, or disease roles are currently established for LMO7DN. There are no reports of drug interactions, biomarker status, or safety concerns related to this protein. LMO7DN should not be confused with LMO7, a well-described member of the PDZ–LIM protein family involved in cytoskeletal organization, cell signaling, and cancer biology[1][2]. Literature and protein databases such as UniProt classify LMO7DN as an "uncharacterized protein," and no experimentally validated functions, disease associations, or pharmacological relevance are reported as of the latest data[3]. No evidence currently exists to support LMO7DN as a direct therapeutic target or to assign it to any conventional target protein family. If more information becomes available regarding expression, function, or disease association, these categories could be updated. At present, LMO7DN is best classified as a protein-coding gene of unknown function.
