Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1023 (LINC01023) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that does not encode a protein but functions in the regulation of gene expression, primarily at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels[1][3]. LINC01023 is upregulated in glioma tissues and cell lines compared to normal brain tissue, and higher expression levels are associated with tumor progression and shorter patient survival[2][4][6]. Functional studies show that LINC01023 promotes glioma cell proliferation, migration, and invasion through activation of the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway in vitro and in vivo[2][4][6]. Knockdown of LINC01023 suppresses these malignant properties and inhibits the IGF1R/AKT pathway, suggesting that LINC01023 acts as an oncogene in glioma and represents a potential therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker in this context[2][4][6]. There are currently no known interacting drugs or established safety concerns specifically related to targeting LINC01023.
