Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1070 (LINC01070)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1070 (LINC01070) is a human long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA), primarily identified as a non-protein coding transcript longer than 200 nucleotides that does not overlap any protein-coding gene[1][5]. LINC01070 has been implicated as a regulatory RNA involved in the modulation of gene expression, chromatin state, and possibly enhancer-like activities. It is classified among glycolysis-related lncRNAs that may play a role in tumor development, with evidence linking LINC01070 expression to breast cancer prognosis: knockdown of LINC01070 suppresses breast cancer progression in experimental models, and high LINC01070 correlates with poorer overall survival in breast cancer patients, supporting its use as a prognostic biomarker in this disease context[2].
