Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1101 (LINC01101) is a human long non-coding RNA gene belonging to the lincRNA family, characterized by transcripts over 200 nucleotides that do not overlap with protein-coding genes and have no protein-coding capacity[1][5][6]. LINC01101, like other lincRNAs, participates in epigenetic regulation, chromatin remodeling, and transcriptional control and may also function as an enhancer RNA[3][6]. While the general class of lincRNAs is increasingly recognized as important in gene regulation and disease (including certain cancers), there is limited direct evidence supporting LINC01101 as a therapeutic target or druggable entity[3][4]. It may be used analytically as a biomarker in cancer genomics, but it is not a classic receptor, enzyme, or therapeutic target by current definition[4].
