Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 112 (LINC00112)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 112 (LINC00112) is a member of the long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) family, defined as transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides that do not code for proteins and do not overlap annotated protein-coding genes[1]. LincRNAs as a class are increasingly recognized for diverse regulatory functions, including chromatin remodeling, transcriptional and post-transcriptional gene regulation, and cellular homeostasis[3][5].
