LINC01159 (Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1159, also known as linc-Brn1b) is an annotated human long non-coding RNA gene present on chromosome 2. It belongs to the lncRNA class, which comprises RNA molecules that are transcribed but not translated into proteins. LINC01159 is predicted to be involved in the regulation of gene expression, maintenance of cellular organization, and tissue homeostasis, and is found in both the cytoplasm and nucleus. There is currently no established link between LINC01159 and human diseases, nor is it considered a canonical therapeutic target, biomarker, or known to directly interact with drugs. Its function is primarily associated with non-coding regulatory roles in humans[5][7][3][11].
