Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1176 (LINC01176) is a human long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA), classified as a non-coding transcript longer than 200 nucleotides that does not encode proteins and does not overlap with protein-coding genes[1][3][5]. LINC01176 has been found to function as a regulatory RNA in gene expression by acting as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA): it sponges microRNAs such as miR-218-5p, indirectly upregulating targets like IL-36G, a pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in psoriasis pathogenesis[2].
