Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1192 (LINC01192, also known as CT64) is a long non-coding RNA that belongs to the class of cancer/testis antigens. It is located on chromosome 3q26.1 and comprises 7 exons. CTAs like LINC01192 are typically expressed in male testicular tissue and are largely silenced in most other normal tissues. Their aberrant expression in various cancers, including lung cancer, links them with cancer cell processes such as growth, survival, metastasis, mitotic fidelity, and resistance to chemotherapeutics.
