Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1208 (LINC01208)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1208 (LINC01208) is a human gene that encodes a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA). LincRNAs are RNA molecules longer than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap protein-coding genes and that function primarily as regulatory elements at the RNA level, affecting gene expression by diverse mechanisms such as chromatin remodeling, transcriptional regulation, and RNA stabilization.
