Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1241 (LINC01241) is an autonomously transcribed non-coding RNA gene longer than 200 nucleotides that does not overlap with annotated protein-coding genes. As a member of the lincRNA subclass, LINC01241 participates in various regulatory activities such as chromatin remodeling, RNA stabilization, and controlling gene expression through diverse mechanisms, often in a tissue-specific manner. LINC01241 is catalogued in genetic databases (e.g., GeneCards, BioGPS), but, like many other human lincRNAs, its specific molecular function and disease involvement remain to be elucidated; there is no current evidence that it is a direct therapeutic target or interacts with any approved drugs.
