Overview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1270 (LINC01270) is a long non-coding RNA that does not code for a protein but regulates gene expression at the RNA level. It is overexpressed in various cancers, notably lung adenocarcinoma and breast cancer. In lung adenocarcinoma, LINC01270 promotes tumor progression and invasion, partly by negatively regulating miR-326 and increasing LARP1 expression, leading to activation of the PI3K/AKT pathway. Clinically, high LINC01270 expression is correlated with poor prognosis and serves as a biomarker for diagnosis and disease outcome in specific cancers. There are currently no known drugs directly targeting LINC01270 or established safety issues related to therapeutic targeting[1][2][3].
