Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1315 (LINC01315) is a long non-coding RNA located at chromosome 22q, implicated in the regulation of gene expression as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) through its ability to sponge specific microRNAs such as miR-205-3p, miR-484, miR-211, and miR-497-5p[1][2][5]. LINC01315 is overexpressed in several cancers, including colorectal cancer, breast cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, papillary thyroid cancer, and oral squamous cell carcinoma, where it promotes tumorigenesis, cancer stem cell properties, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and cell migration and invasion[1][2][4][5]. Mechanistically, LINC01315 directly activates the transcription of β-catenin, promoting Wnt/β-catenin signaling and downstream oncogenic effects in cancer cells[2]. High LINC01315 expression is associated with poor prognosis in colorectal and breast cancer patients, making it a potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarker, as well as a candidate therapeutic target[2][4][5]. No currently approved drugs directly target LINC01315, and safety or therapeutic challenges specific to its targeting have not been systematically reported.
Sponge for miRNAs (e.g., miR-205-3p, miR-484, miR-211, miR-497-5p); Transcriptional activation of β-catenin, promoting Wnt/β-catenin signaling
