Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1377 (LINC01377) is a gene annotated in the human genome that gives rise to a long intergenic non-coding RNA transcript. LincRNAs are a subclass of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) that are transcribed from intergenic regions (i.e., genomic regions not overlapping any protein-coding genes) and are typically longer than 200 nucleotides. LincRNAs, in general, are involved in the regulation of gene expression and chromatin structure, and may play roles in cell type-specific or developmental gene regulatory mechanisms. However, the specific function, biological roles, and disease associations of LINC01377 have not yet been experimentally defined in the literature or major gene/protein databases.
None known for drugs, as there are no drugs that target LINC01377
