Overview

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1410 (LINC01410) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) molecule, typically not translated into protein, that is upregulated in several human cancers including colon cancer, gallbladder cancer, neuroblastoma, thyroid carcinoma, and cholangiocarcinoma[1][2][3][4]. LINC01410 promotes oncogenic processes such as cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and inhibition of apoptosis. It exerts its effects via molecular sponging of microRNAs (notably miR-3128 and miR-506-3p), interaction with transcriptional regulators such as STAT5, and activation of oncogenic signaling pathways such as the ErbB pathway. High expression of LINC01410 in tumor tissues is associated with aggressive cancer phenotypes and poor patient prognosis. Although it is not currently known to be directly targeted by any approved drugs, its biological function and disease relevance identify it as a potential therapeutic target, as well as a candidate biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognostication[1][2][3][4].
