Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1432 (LINC01432) is a long non-coding RNA found to be highly expressed in multiple myeloma cell lines and patient samples. LINC01432 is localized in both the cytoplasm and nucleus, binds to the CELF2 protein, and inhibits apoptosis while promoting cell viability and tumor growth in preclinical models. Knockdown of LINC01432 using antisense oligonucleotides increases apoptosis and reduces viability of multiple myeloma cells. Elevated expression of LINC01432 correlates with poor prognosis (short progression-free survival) to standard therapy in multiple myeloma, suggesting a potential role as both a therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker[2][4][1].
