Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1451 (LINC01451)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1451 (LINC01451) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on chromosome 9 (9q34), also previously known as HCCAT4 (hepatocellular carcinoma associated transcript 4)[1][14][16]. As a member of the LINC RNA family, LINC01451 does not encode a protein but is believed to play regulatory roles in gene expression, chromatin structure, and epigenetic modification, as is typical for this class of molecules[7][15]. LINC01451 has been associated in the literature with hepatocellular carcinoma and is considered a putative biomarker for this cancer type, but is not itself a validated therapeutic target, enzyme, receptor, or druggable molecule[10][7][15]. There are no known drugs directly targeting LINC01451 as of the current literature, nor established mechanisms of action or safety concerns for targeting this RNA specifically.
