Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1532 (LINC01532) is a long non-coding RNA gene that does not encode a protein but is autonomously transcribed in the human genome. It belongs to the family of long intergenic non-coding RNAs (lincRNAs), which are longer than 200 nucleotides and act independently of other coding genes. LINC01532 is implicated in the modulation of redox homeostasis and has been specifically associated with conferring resistance to the tyrosine kinase inhibitor lenvatinib in hepatocellular carcinoma by regulating NADPH metabolism. The broader biological functions of LINC01532 align with those of the lincRNA family, which includes gene expression regulation and potentially fine-tuning cellular responses. Aberrant expression may contribute to disease pathology, most notably in cancer, where its expression serves as a biomarker for drug resistance and potentially as a prognostic or diagnostic target[1][2][3][7][8]. There is currently no evidence for peptide-coding potential, receptor activity, or other classical molecular target classifications beyond regulatory RNA roles for LINC01532. Direct drug-gene interaction data is limited to its role in lenvatinib resistance in HCC; broader therapeutic evaluations and safety profiles remain areas of ongoing research[2][3].
