Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1555 (LINC01555) is a human long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) gene. LincRNAs are autonomously transcribed RNA molecules longer than 200 nucleotides that do not encode proteins and do not overlap protein-coding genes[1][3][6]. LincRNAs often function to regulate gene expression, chromatin dynamics, and other processes at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels[3][6][7]. While lincRNAs as a group play roles in development, homeostasis, and disease (including cancer), there is currently no published evidence for LINC01555 being a direct therapeutic target, biomarker, or having a defined clinical role[1][4][6][7].
Not applicable for drug mechanisms, as there are no known drugs targeting this lncRNA
