Overview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1600 (LINC01600) is a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) over 200 nucleotides in length, transcribed but not translated into a protein[1][3][5]. LINC01600 acts primarily as a molecular scaffold, facilitating the interaction between specific proteins such as EIF2S2 and c-MYC, promoting the stability and activity of MYC, a well-known oncogene[2]. Upregulation of LINC01600 increases proliferation, migration, and invasion of colorectal cancer cells, and high expression levels correlate with poorer survival in gastrointestinal cancer patients[2]. Co-expression analysis further suggests its involvement in pathways related to interferon-gamma signaling, protein stability, and ATP binding[4][6]. Currently, no drugs directly target LINC01600, but its expression is associated with prognosis in certain cancers, making it a potential biomarker rather than a direct therapeutic target[2][4].
