Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1610 (LINC01610), also known as EVADR (endogenous retroviral-associated adenocarcinoma RNA), is a human long non-coding RNA that is specifically and highly expressed in multiple adenocarcinomas, including colon, rectal, lung, pancreas, and stomach cancers, but is nearly absent in normal tissues. Its expression is driven by a MER48 endogenous retroviral element acting as a promoter. Elevated levels of LINC01610/EVADR are correlated with reduced patient survival in adenocarcinomas, highlighting its potential as a diagnostic or prognostic biomarker, although its direct biological function and mechanism in malignancy remain to be clarified[2][4][7]. There are no known drugs targeting this RNA, and it does not constitute a traditional druggable therapeutic target (such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter).
