Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1615 (LINC01615) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 6 (chr6:169157162-169162992, GRCh38)[3]. It does not encode a protein but functions as a regulatory RNA molecule. High expression of LINC01615 correlates with more aggressive disease and altered immune cell infiltration, notably serving as a biomarker for prognosis in cancer patients. Silencing LINC01615 suppresses cell proliferation, invasion, and migration in several cancer model systems, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target, though no direct drug interventions or approved therapies currently target this lncRNA[2][4][6].
