Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1639 (LINC01639) is a member of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) class, specifically classified as a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA), meaning it is transcribed from regions of the genome that do not overlap protein-coding genes. LINC01639 is not a classical therapeutic target (e.g., receptor or enzyme); rather, it may act as a regulatory RNA in gene expression networks and is potentially useful as a biomarker for liver disease status.
