Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1706 (LINC01706) is a human long non-coding RNA gene that belongs to the class of long intergenic non-coding RNAs (lincRNAs), which are transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides and do not overlap protein-coding genes. LINC01706 is transcribed but does not encode a protein, and its function is not well characterized. LincRNAs in general are implicated in diverse regulatory roles, including chromatin organization, transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation, and RNA stability. However, there are no experimentally validated functions, disease associations, or known drug interactions specifically described for LINC01706 to date[1][3][5][7].
