Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1710 (LINC01710) is a lincRNA gene in humans. LincRNAs are non-coding RNA transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides, transcribed from regions of the genome that do not overlap protein-coding genes. They are largely involved in regulation of gene expression, chromatin structure modification, and stabilizing RNAs, with diverse tissue-specific functions. While many lincRNAs play important roles in various cellular and developmental processes, only a minority have well-characterized functions, and LINC01710 itself has not yet been widely studied in terms of molecular pathways or disease relevance.
