Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1819 (LINC01819) is a human long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA), which means it is a transcript longer than 200 nucleotides that does not overlap known protein-coding genes[1]. LincRNAs broadly function to fine-tune gene expression by influencing chromatin architecture, regulating transcription (both as enhancer-like elements and through direct binding), and stabilizing RNAs[1].
