Overview

LINC01839 (long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1839) is an autonomously transcribed non-coding RNA more than 200 nucleotides in length, which does not overlap annotated protein-coding genes[3][4][5]. It is a member of the lincRNA class, which is known to play roles in gene and chromatin regulation, RNA stabilization, and sometimes enhancer activity, through cis and trans mechanisms[5][7]. LINC01839, also previously known as EIF2B5-IT1, is located at chromosome 3q27.1[4]. While the lincRNA family is increasingly recognized in disease biology, such as cancer, the specific functional and clinical roles of LINC01839 remain to be fully elucidated[3][4][5].\n\nThere is no evidence that LINC01839 is a druggable receptor or enzyme, and it is not a classic therapeutic target. Current research does not indicate approved drugs interacting with it or its use as a biomarker or with notable safety concerns[3][4][5].
