Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1849 (LINC01849) is a non-protein-coding RNA gene in humans that is transcribed from intergenic genomic regions and does not overlap protein-coding genes. Like other lincRNAs, LINC01849 is presumed to be involved in gene regulation, chromatin modification, or other cell functions, but its specific biological role, disease associations, and clinical significance remain uncharacterized in current human genomic and biomedical databases. As with most lincRNAs, it is not currently considered a therapeutic target, and no drugs or safety concerns are associated with it at this time.
