Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1863 (LINC01863) is classified as a lincRNA—a subclass of long non-coding RNAs that are longer than 200 nucleotides and do not overlap known protein-coding genes. LincRNAs are transcribed autonomously and are often involved in regulating chromatin architecture, transcriptional activity, and RNA processing. Many lincRNAs exhibit tissue-specific expression and can modulate biological processes by affecting the expression of adjacent or distal genes. Large-scale functional genomics in eukaryotes show that subsets of lincRNAs (including those not specifically characterized such as LINC01863) may participate in cell cycle control, developmental regulation, stress responses, and disease. LINC01863 itself is annotated, but as of current knowledge cutoff, there are no specific studies detailing its function, disease relevance, or drug interactions in humans.
Not applicable. There are no drugs characterized to modulate LINC01863.
