Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1929 (LINC01929) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located in non-protein coding genomic regions. LINC01929 is upregulated in multiple cancer types and functions as a regulatory RNA, particularly acting as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) that sequesters specific microRNAs (such as miR-1179), thereby modulating gene expression that promotes cell proliferation, metastasis, and cell cycle progression.
