Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1933 (LINC01933) is a human long non-coding RNA located on chromosome 5q33, classified as an lncRNA and sometimes referenced by the alias CTB-12O2.1[1][3][5][7]. While its detailed biological function remains poorly characterized, it is believed to participate in the regulation of gene expression, possibly through chromatin remodeling, sponging of miRNAs, or interactions with other gene regulatory elements[2][3]. LINC01933 has been included in multi-lncRNA signatures for predicting the prognosis of ovarian cancer and may have diagnostic or prognostic biomarker value in this context[2]. However, LINC01933 is not a protein-coding gene, nor is it a canonical therapeutic target such as an enzyme, receptor, transporter, or ion channel.
