Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1970 (LINC01970)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1970 (LINC01970) is a member of the long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) class, which are RNA transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap protein-coding genes and do not code for proteins[3][5]. lincRNAs in general are known to regulate gene expression through transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, sometimes affecting cell differentiation, cell cycle, and responses to environmental or cellular stressors[1][7].
