Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1997 (LINC01997)

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1997 (LINC01997) is a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) gene, producing RNA transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap any protein-coding genes[1][5]. LincRNAs are a subclass of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and typically participate in the fine-tuning of neighboring gene expression with tissue-specific activity.
