Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2006 (LINC02006) is annotated as a long intergenic non-coding RNA gene in the human genome. LincRNAs are non-coding RNAs longer than 200 nucleotides, transcribed from intergenic regions, and have been implicated in diverse regulatory processes including chromatin modification and transcriptional regulation within the lncRNA family. However, for LINC02006, there is currently no experimental evidence regarding its biological function, disease association, participation in signaling pathways, or utility as a therapeutic target. This distinguishes it from well-studied lincRNAs such as LINC00665, which have established roles in cancer biology, but should not be conflated with LINC02006. Until further research characterizes LINC02006, it remains a genomically annotated but functionally unconfirmed lincRNA. If you are seeking a therapeutically relevant target or clinically validated lincRNA, LINC02006 may not currently meet that criterion.
