Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2046 (LINC02046) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene that does not code for a protein and is situated between protein-coding genes in the genome. LINC02046 is expressed in multiple tissues, including primordial germ cells in the gonad and across at least 86 other cell types or tissues. Like other lincRNAs, LINC02046 is presumed to play a regulatory role in gene expression, but there are no published data describing its molecular mechanisms, its specific function, or its involvement in human disease. There is currently no evidence that LINC02046 is a therapeutic target or that drugs interact with this RNA. No safety concerns or biomarkers related to this molecule have been reported.
