Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2082 (LINC02082) is a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) identified as differentially expressed in thyroid cancer tissues, particularly papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), compared to benign nodules and normal tissue. Its expression is elevated in most PTC tumors and may have diagnostic value as part of a molecular panel for thyroid nodule evaluation. The precise biological function of LINC02082 has not yet been elucidated, but like other lincRNAs, it may influence gene regulation and potentially play a role in cancer biology. LINC02082 is not known to encode a protein, act as a therapeutic target such as a receptor or enzyme, nor is it currently targeted by approved drugs.
