Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2122 (LINC02122) is a member of the long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) family, a subset of long non-coding RNAs longer than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap protein-coding genomic regions[3][5]. LINC02122 does not encode a protein and is annotated based on its genomic location and transcript structure. Like other lincRNAs, it is presumed to function in the regulation of gene expression, possibly by influencing chromatin state, modulating transcriptional programs, or acting as a scaffold for regulatory complexes; however, no specific biological function, disease association, or drug interactions have been reported for LINC02122 itself in available sources[1][3][5][7]. Most lincRNAs demonstrate tissue-specific expression and can participate in fine-tuning the expression of neighboring genes, but direct functional or therapeutic relevance has not been established for LINC02122. Thus, it should not currently be considered a direct therapeutic target.
