Overview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2132 (LINC02132) is a member of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) class, specifically classified as a long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA)[3]. LINC02132 does not encode a protein and functions primarily at the RNA level. Recent studies indicate that upregulation of LINC02132 increases intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in melanoma cells, suppressing their proliferation, migration, and invasion while promoting apoptosis[2]. These findings suggest LINC02132 may function as a tumor suppressor and as a prognostic biomarker for melanoma; however, it is not established as a direct therapeutic target or receptor, enzyme, transporter, or similar molecule[2][3]. No drugs are currently known to directly interact with LINC02132.
