Overview
LINC02175 is an autonomously transcribed long intergenic non-coding RNA (>200 nt) that does not overlap with a protein-coding gene. While its precise molecular function is not well characterized, LINC02175 belongs to a class of RNAs that regulate gene expression, chromatin structure, and have enhancer-like activity in various cellular contexts. Recent bioinformatic and clinical studies have identified LINC02175 as one of several lncRNAs that are differentially expressed in lung cancer and may be used as molecular biomarkers for non-invasive diagnosis. However, its direct cellular functions, interacting partners, and therapeutic significance remain largely unexplored, and it is not currently considered a receptor or classic therapeutic drug target.
