Target intelligence / Profile preview
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2186 (LINC02186) is a non-protein-coding RNA gene in the human genome. It belongs to the family of long intergenic non-coding RNAs (lincRNAs), a class of RNAs greater than 200 nucleotides that do not overlap protein-coding genes. LincRNAs are known to regulate gene expression, often by influencing chromatin states, gene transcription, or RNA stability, but most individual lincRNAs, including LINC02186, remain functionally uncharacterized. There are no current reports of direct involvement of LINC02186 in specific biological processes or diseases, nor is it identified as a biomarker or therapeutic target.
